Acceptance

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

These terms govern the website only. If we enter into an engagement, that engagement is governed by its own signed contract, which prevails over anything on this site in the event of conflict.

Our content is information, not advice

Nothing on this website is legal, regulatory, financial or professional advice, and nothing on it creates an adviser-client relationship.

We publish general commentary on cybersecurity and regulatory matters affecting Indian financial institutions, including the RBI Directions, the DPDP Act, the CERT-In Directions and the Aadhaar framework. It is written for a general audience and cannot account for your entity class, your thresholds, your existing controls or your supervisory history - all of which change the answer.

Do not act on it without advice specific to you. Regulatory positions also change, sometimes without a transition period. Content is accurate to the best of our knowledge when published and is not continuously updated afterwards.

Permitted use

You may read, print and share this site for your own business use.

You may not:

  • Use the site unlawfully, or in a way that interferes with anyone else's use of it
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it, other than through our responsible disclosure policy
  • Scrape or systematically extract content to build a competing offering or to train a commercial model
  • Remove or obscure any attribution or notice
  • Misrepresent an association with us, or use our name or marks without written permission

Intellectual property

The content, design and code of this site belong to us or our licensors. Quoting a short extract with attribution and a link is fine; republishing substantial parts is not, without written permission.

Names of regulators, standards and third-party products are used descriptively. Their use does not imply endorsement, approval, affiliation or certification by those bodies or vendors.

Links to other sites

Where we link elsewhere it is for convenience. We do not control those sites, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee it. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice. Nothing here creates a service level for the website itself; service levels for engagements live in the engagement contract.

Liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website - including any decision taken on the basis of content described in clause 3.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at TODO - city, e.g. Bengaluru have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site.
